My Work

As a blossoming artist, I aim to create an experience you will value. I have spent years honing my craft via experience and hard work. However, recently I have found myself able to take some classes with a professional. In excitement, I have decided to offer art lessons and workshops and custom peices. I am confident in charcoal, pastel, and paint mixed media. I've also started progressing  in woodworking, digital art, spiritual art, therapeutic art, and fabric art. I am willing to share what I know in those areas but I wouldn't dare call myself an expert yet. 

HeLa

I created this piece with the inspiration of Henrietta Lacks, who over sixty years ago went into a hospital for treatment for her cervical cancer and her cells taken for a biopsy still replicate to this day. The cells have been used for many medical advancements without consulting the patient or the patient's family. There has been many medical advancements , including a polio vaccine,  and much money made from her cells. In a way though, the secrecy allowed this amazing woman to live on in history. Although without recognition, until recently.

This project was one that was very personal to me. I've always adored the idea of making art with what we have around us with respect. Therefore. I just started woodworking as another facet of art I do
